Cactus live in very hot and dry places with very little soil. Cactus store water from rain which they use to keep to stay alive. Cactus take the water they have stored and store it into the sand so that when they need any they can take it from the ground which also helps insects get water. Many scientist believe that cactus changed their physiological traits to abapt to their enviornment.
