A large area which covers up to 30% of the world surface. The climate which can either be hot or cold depending on the desert with some very dry and humity. It has very few biodiversty of animals, and plants. what characterizes a deserts is that if a surface land has at less than 10 inches of rain about 25 cenimeters it is a desert. very few water means that only certain plants and animals can live their like scorpion, snakes, camels, and lizards. Planst like cactus, wildflower.
